The Schools Division of Bislig City has been named the overall top-performing division in the School Paper Contest category at the 2026 Regional Academic and Skills Development-Regional Schools Press Conference (RASD-RSPC), according to official results released by the Department of Education's Caraga regional office.
Regional Memorandum No. 0308, s. 2026, signed by Regional Director Maria Ines C. Asuncion and dated April 1, 2026, confirms Bislig City ranked first overall in the School Paper Contest, ahead of Agusan del Sur in second and Surigao del Sur in third. The division also placed first in the Elementary School Paper Contest and second in the Secondary School Paper Contest, behind Agusan del Sur and ahead of Bayugan City.
The RSPC itself was held February 16 to 20 at Saint Michael College of Caraga in Nasipit, Agusan del Norte, drawing around 4,000 learners, school paper advisers, and journalism coaches from the region's 12 schools divisions.

The Bislig City Division SPED Center's paper, Kaleidoscope, took first place in Best in Feature Page and first in Best in Page Layout and Design, under adviser Sheila Mae T. Seraspe and school head Rizaida R. Otacan. The same school's team also won first place in the Elementary Collaborative Desktop Publishing contest (Filipino medium), coached by Dr. Ana Rubi L. Sereño, and placed second in the English medium under Seraspe.
Pamaypayan Bislig City Integrated School's paper, The Peak, placed first in Best in Editorial Page, credited to advisers Moises P. Ferolino Jr. and Reshelle Mae V. Logronio under school head Clarissa P. Feliscuzo. The school's Filipino paper, Ang Sandurot, also placed in the Pinakamahusay sa Pahinang Editoryal and Agham at Teknolohiya categories.
Mangagoy National High School's paper, The Summit, won first place in Best in Science and Technology Page for the secondary level, with adviser Generosa A. Tolentino and school head Dodelle D. Gomez, and placed in the feature, sports, and layout categories as well. Its Filipino paper, Ang Bagani, also placed in the Pinakamahusay sa Pahinang Balita category.
Tabon M. Estrella National High School's team won first place in the Secondary Collaborative Desktop Publishing contest (English medium), coached by Jezza Beth M. Rezare, and its paper, The Tabonian, placed second in Best in Editorial Page.
Requina Elementary School's paper, Requinian Pulse, placed in the Best in Sports Page and Pinakamahusay sa Pahinang Isports categories under advisers Miraluna H. Ligan and Pamela L. Nacorda. Sta. Cruz National High School's Ang Hugyaw placed in both the Filipino news and editorial categories under adviser Mary Jill S. Caber.
